Transcranial Pulse Stimulation: Costs and Coverage

As a therapy that has only recently become available to patients in private practices, transcranial pulse stimulation has not yet been included in the benefit catalogs of the statutory health insurance funds. In addition, therapies from the field of physics or medical technology, unlike drugs from the pharmaceutical industry, are treated differently by our health insurance system and corresponding bureaucratic processes are slow.

First Private Health Insurances (PKVs) already cover the costs.

After all, however, transcranial pulse stimulation has already become so established in the last two years that some private health insurers now cover the costs in part or in full. There is currently (as of January 2023) a very dynamic process here, and we will inform here in due course when there is good news on cost coverage for our patients.

TPS-Therapy: our Offerings and Billing

We bill for Transcranial Pulse Stimulation according to GOÄ (German physicians’ fee schedule). You will receive a detailed itemized bill from us, which you are welcome to submit to your private health insurance or to the state aid.

The consultation preceding the TPS-Therapy is, of course, non-binding with us.

Depending on individual parameters, a complete TPS therapy with us costs approximately between € 2,000.00 and € 3,000.00.
